News from the Board
We are pleased to announce that RPI Board is already planning the next Raymond College reunion for the weekend of September 26-28, 2008 in Stockton. Reunion activities will focus on ideas for planning your own future. Please note the date and put it on your calendar now.
The RPI Board is working with UOP (now known as “Pacific”) to develop a Raymond Alumni Speakers series. Karen Larson ’70 recently represented Raymond alumni on campus by giving the keynote address on “Gender and Society” as a prelude to the annual Pat Kennedy Debate Tournament. (See Pacifican article www.thepacifican online.com/content.view.1064/.) Quincy Bragg ’70 is working on launching the Raymond Cyberjournal and Greg Finnegan ’67 is cataloguing publications by Raymond alumni.
Other RPI projects include formal and informal networking, the daily Internet dialogue, annual events (such as the “informal” reunion at Dave Wellenbrock’s ’67 this last September), and continuing interface with Pacific.
RPI now owns and operates the Raymond website (www.raymondcollege.org). RPI is working with Carole Nelson Somsel ’75, to begin bringing you new RPI information on a regular basis.
RPI exists to help Raymond alumni, friends, faculty, and hangers-on to continue the dialogue. If you are interested in participating in any of these projects, please feel free to contact any member of the Board of Directors for additional information.
